Professor Qiang Wu is the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the winner of Li Siguang Geology Award, the principal scientist of the Program for Cheung Kong Scholars and Innovative Research Team of the Ministry of Education, one of the first 10 winners of the “China Excellent Postdoctoral Award”, the “National Outstanding Teacher”, national level candidate of the “Hundred-thousand Talents Program” and the gainer of the special subsidy offered by the State Council. Professor Wu holds the position of the executive member of the International Mine Water Association(IMWA), the chairman of the China committee of the IMWA, the associate editor-in-chief of the international SCI periodical——Mine Water and the Environment, the editorial board member of Environmental Earth Sciences，the committeeman of the technology committee of the State Administration of Work Safety, the group leader of the hydrogeology expert group of the State Administration of Coal Mine Safety, the member of the national safety production expert group, the consultant of the labor protection consultant group of the All-China Federation of Trade Union, the executive director of China coal industry safety institute of science and technology, the director of the Geological Society of China, the director of China Association of Geological Hazard Prevention, the executive director of mine environmental protection and governance committee of China Mining Association, the deputy director of the water disaster prevention and control special committee of China Coal Industry Safety Science and Technology Institute, the deputy director of the water disaster prevention and control special committee of China Coal Industry Labor Protection Science and Technology Institute, and the deputy director of hydrogeology special committee, environmental geology special committee and karst geology special committee of Geology Society of China.
